Shakespeare was an English poet, actor and writer. Shakespear was originally actor in London. He acted in a few plays before deciding to write some of his own. He wrote plays like Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and The Tempest. Shakespeare wrote poetry and literature as well. Some of his poems were: A lovers Complaint, Sonnet 1, and Venus and Adonis. All these writings helped boost his fame world-wide. Even to this day his works are being remade, and performed in theaters.

Early years:


William Shakespeare was born in Stafford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, in April, 1564.


Youth: Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon,Warwickshire, in 1564 and grew up with his two sisters; Joan and Judith and three brothers; Gilbert,Richard, and Edmund. He is believed to have been born on or near April 23,1564.


Young Man: As a young man William got his education from

Kings New School. At the age of eighteen he fell in love and married Anne Hathaway and had three kids with his youngest and only son,Hamnet, died in childhood.



A possible life changing event is that Shakespeare saw famous actors of the theater coming through his town and this may have inspired him to be an actor as well. No one knows for certain.

Shakespeares Works

Shakespeare wrote many types of plays in his career,but the main types he stuck to were tragedy,comedy and historical drama. His most well known plays around the world are Hamlet one of his most popular and performed plays. Romeo & Juliet, a story about star crossed lovers which are two people who care about each-other but cannot be together for some reason or another,also remains to be one of his most popular works as well,both are tragedy's. Titus Andronicus is also one of his works

Shakespeare was also known to also write Sonnet poems which are just formal poems with 14 lines.
