Spirit Mountain Snow Club
is an after-school ski & snowboard club for all skill levels and open to public/private schools and organized youth groups in 3rd-12th grade. Snow Club is affordable, fun and a healthy activity for all skill levels. This program introduces its members to a recreational sport that can truly be enjoyed for a lifetime. It encourages exercise and physical activity, and challenges members to learn new skills. Spirit Mountain has had roughly 50,000 students involved in after school programs such as Snow Club, and we are ready for more.

Ski Opportunity for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades
Our third, fourth, and fifth grade students have the opportunity to take a free trip to Mont Du Lac Skill Hill for an entire day! (This is a separate opportunity from the Snow Club listed above) This opportunity is entirely funded and gives all students an opportunity to get free lessons and rental equipment. In order for our students to enjoy the ski hill Mont Du Lac needs to have a few waivers filled out. Fourth and Fifth grade have already sent out a few links, these are the updated links we need to use (we're sorry about the confusion, this is a new process for us as well), third grade will be sending paper copies at the end of the week. If you have students in third, fourth, or fifth grade please make sure these waivers (there are 4 total) are filled out before their trips.
Fourth grade goes Friday (1/31)
Fifth grade goes on Wednesday February 5
Third grade goes Friday February 12

Blizzard Safety Patrol
Thank you to Ayla C. and Gabby R. for speaking in front of the PTO to receive funding for new supplies for our Safety Patrol. With our popcorn sales from earlier in the school year, along with PTO's donation, we were able to get all new flags and vests to really stand out on the corner and be safe. THANK YOU!
UWS Art Exhibit Reception TONIGHT!
UWS Exhibition highlights local youth talents… and their teachers!
Art teachers do more than cultivate deeper understandings of line, shape, color, and
form – they foster flexible thinking, teamwork, and an ability to handle failure. Art
teachers encourage elastic thinking and inclusive behavior and share an
appreciation for history and story telling.
This winter the Univeristy of Wisconsin, Superior is highlighting both sides of the
creative classroom with an exhibition at the Kruk gallery. The show features
artwork from grades k-12 in Superior alongside that of the teachers who foster
creativity in these students.
The exhibition is free and open to the public. It will feature artwork from 4 of our Blizzard students, along with work from Mr. Nelson himself! We invite you to support them at the reception on TONIGHT at 5pm. Our Blizzards that were selected to be in this exhibit are:
Mikaila B. - 5th grade
“Sugar Skull”
Amelia K. - 2nd grade
“Matisse Paper Cutouts”
Nikki C. - 3rd grade
“Britto Composition”
August J. - 3rd grade
“Britto Composition”
