Copeland Hoofbeat
Friday, January 25
From the Principal
Dear Copeland Families,
We sure have had some chilly weather this week. Hope you and your families are staying warm.
As a reminder, students begin entering our building at 7:45, and school begins at 8:05. We give everyone a grace period of five extra minutes and do not mark students tardy unless they arrive after 8:10. If your child arrives after 8:10, please come into the building with them to sign them in. We have had an increase in tardy students as of late. Please help us by having your child here on time each day! If the bus is late, students are never marked as tardy.
We will have a Spirit Night at Bounce Bounce on Friday, January 25th from 6p-9p. The district is hosting its annual Horizons Showcase at the Berry Center on Monday, January 28th from 6:00p-7:30p. The students always have such amazing projects to share! Our Copeland Spelling Bee winner will compete at the district level at the Berry Center on January 29th. So much in store for our Colts! Please mark your calendars for our 3rd grade program to be held in the Copeland cafeteria on February 12th at 6:30. Mrs. Vigil has a real treat in store for us all. The students have been practicing hard, and it will be a great show! We also will have our second annual Father Daughter Dance for our female Copeland students. This year the event has been relocated to Langham High School so we have more room. It will be Saturday, February 9th from 5:00p.m. -7:30p.m. sponsored by our amazing PTO. We are hoping for a super turnout! It will be a blast. Our Copeland Name that Book winning team will compete at the district level at the Berry Center on February 26th.
We have had many calls inquiring about spring break dates. Spring break will be here before we know it! The dates that students will be off are March 11-15.
I am so blessed to be here at such a wonderful school! Thanks to all of you for your support of Copeland.

Please do not send medication to school with your student. Thank you for helping to keep our students safe!
