Week of November 23rd
From the Desk of Mrs. Schmid
Hello Bobcat Families,
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Remote Parent Teacher Conferences last night, Thursday, November 19th. We look forward to our next Remote Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, November 23rd. You should be able to see your child's conference time and Zoom link in ParentVUE. We did hear from a few parents who stated it was not working. As a back up, you should also have received or should be receiving a Zoom link for the conferences from your child's teacher.
There is no remote learning for the students on Monday due to the full day of Parent Teacher Conferences. We look forward to welcoming students back to learning on Monday, November 30th.
As you read in Dr. Talley's memo, all in-person services have been paused until January 15th. We can all do our part in decreasing the community transmission. Please take a moment to review the recommendations from the CDC for how to safely enjoy the upcoming holiday break. The only way we will decrease the community transmission level is if we all do our part to slow the spread of COVID.
As we enter our season of gratitude, we are incredibly thankful for your partnership, always, but especially during this school year. We know this school year has come with incredible challenges, and we could not do our work without you--thank yoU!
We look forward to seeing many of you at conferences on the 23rd, and the students back for learning on the 30th. I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Holiday Giving Program
Help make a difference this holiday season for our families experiencing hardships or homelessness. The Indian Prairie Parents’ Council (IPPC) is partnering with District 204 for the IPPC Holiday Giving Program. This program directly supports under-resourced families through collecting donations of select gift-cards to help families enjoy the holiday season. The program runs now through November 30. Community members who would like to participate can use the online store to purchase gift-cards or make a donation that will be used to serve the greatest needs of our families this holiday season. All donations will directly help District 204 families.
Ringing of the Bell This Week!
Check out who is on the Brookdale Dream Team this year; we have some new faces and student teachers who have chosen Brookdale as their place of their final schooling (Student Teachers!). Be sure to also check out a new section we added of Staff Photos and put a face to a name. We will continue adding photos and updates as they occur.
