About MOMS

The Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) is a ministry for mothers at Holy Spirit to share their faith stories, experiences and traditions with other moms. Our Vision is to be a faith-filled ministry supporting and serving one another and our community with love, friendship, compassion, and laughter on our journey of motherhood.

A note from your facilitators:

As we wrap up our official MOMS "year" and head into the summer months, we're excited to look ahead at all of the fun things we have planned. We've also enjoyed looking back and reflecting on the many ways our ministry has flourished through the work of the Holy Spirit this year. God has been so good to us. We are so grateful for each of you who have heard the call to join the MOMS and the unique gifts you bring to our group. We wouldn't be us without you. Thanks for all you do!

Love,

Sarah, Penny and Jen

Operation Easter Egg Outreach

Thank you to everyone who joined us in March for our second annual Operation Easter Egg project. It was fun to gather together with our families and precious to see our children serving together. We were able to get so much accomplished in 1 1/2 hours, we even surprised ourselves! Many local children were blessed by your generosity. Thank you for sharing the love of Jesus with children in need.

Summer Activities

As we look ahead to summer, plan on joining us with the kiddos at the HSG playground on Thursday mornings whenever you can! We are also planning our annual summer kickoff party with our families after a Sunday evening mass in early June. Look for details from Molly soon about her summer book club at her home and let her know if you would like to be a part. Be sure to sign up for VBS and volunteer if you are able, it's a fantastic week of bringing the children in our parish closer to Jesus. We're also planning on outdoor stations in June, a summer movie night in July, and a special night to pray over our kids for back-to-school in August. We're looking forward to all of the fun activities that summer has to offer and sharing some time with all of you!

There is no childcare available at the evening meetings at this time, however, babies under 1 are welcome to come to the evening meeting with mom. If you would like to bring your children to our morning meetings, see information here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jAdkXlvwSU7wpD-7mDHK8CNIxI_S6WZUVJIr9-ILArI/edit?usp=sharing

What to Expect at a MOMS meeting

Our ministry is open to women with children of ALL ages. We have veteran mamas and brand new moms, and so much to share and learn from one another as we grow in faith!

Meetings start with an opening prayer and introductions, followed by a discussion on various topics related to our motherhood and our faith. Our time together wraps up with prayer intentions and a closing prayer. Attendance is not required every week to be a part of MOMs – just come when you are able.

Please contact us at hspmoms@gmail.com if you have any questions before you attend your first meeting!
