Principal Message

Dear Byam Families,

We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful April break last week. We've had a busy week back at Byam and know we have many more busy weeks ahead. Our Art Show Gallery Walk was a huge success and our book fair also had many visitors. Thank you to Mrs. Brown for passion for her creating art and the contagious effect that has on our students. I saw many proud Byam artists and families last night. The Chelmsford Police Department continues to be a wonderful community partner with our schools. Officer Sullivan and Ozzie, the CPD's new community outreach dog, visited the art show and we also had officers joining us for "High Five Friday" as students entered school this morning. Next week we are lucky to have an enrichment for the entire school with Grammy winning musical artist, Mister G. We were excited to book this program 2 years ago but it was unfortunately canceled during our school closure. With some tenacious work by our BSA enrichment coordinators, our students will be enjoying his wonderful music next Friday. Have a wonderful weekend.

Best,

Jason Fredette and Betsy Dolan

BYAM ART GALLERY WALK

Thank you to everyone who attended our Byam Art Gallery Walk on 4/28! It was wonderful to see families celebrating the creativity and hard work of all our artists here at Byam School!

What do students learn during Art class at Byam?

They learn to communicate ideas using a wide variety of materials and the elements of art.
They learn to become creative problem solvers.
They learn to be accepting and inclusive while they make connections between their work and others.
Most importantly, they learn to be kind humans who appreciate all forms of beauty.
