Black History Month Quilt
Mrs. Gevers' reading group spent the month of February celebrating Black History by making a Black History quilt. The students read about many important African Americans and picked their favorite ones to make the quilt!
Students Prepare for Spring!
Mrs. Mierzwinski's Adaptive PE classes have been spending time in Davenport's Sensory Garden in order to prepare it for the quickly approaching Spring season. The student worked to clean out any foliage that has accumulated over the winter in order to prepare for new plants once the weather gets warmer! The students were excited about helping and proud of the results that they have been able to see.

Renaissance "Name the Eagle" Contest
The EHT School District is getting a new eagle mascot! The EHT High School Renaissance has asked for the help of every school in the district in order to come up with a new name for the brand new eagle and we need your students' help! Next week each class will be putting their heads together to come up with a class submission. The names from each class will then be narrowed down one, based on a staff vote. This name will then be sent to the high school and put in the running for the final vote. If you want to brainstorm with your child at home so that they come in ready with a good eagle name, we welcome your participation!
