Happy Sunday Families!

Our Eagles have had a great week back at school! On Tuesday, Marine CSI visited our students in first, fourth, and fifth grades and led them through several hands-on science explorations. Second-graders and students in Ms. Medina's class traveled to Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium on Wednesday, and our Kindergarten and First grade students had a blast as they participated in various sports activities for Field Day on Friday. Our DLI students took the audience on a flight through DLI Friday night as they showcased our school's Spanish-immersion program through song, dance, displays, and food. Students also began applying for new campus leadership positions this week. Just a reminder that applications are due Monday. Coming up Thursday, Math Counts team members, Alex, Hugo, Benji, and Simon, led by Mr. Thompson, will participate in the district competition here at Clyde Erwin. We wish them much success!

Important Reminders:

1. Third-fifth grade students will take NC Check-ins this week. Please make sure students have their charged laptop, get a good night's rest, breakfast, and arrive to school on time. Grades 4-5 will take reading on Monday, April 25; Grades 3-5 will take math on Tuesday, April 26; and fifth-graders will take science on Wednesday, April 27.

2. This week, join us as we show Ms. Stacie, Ms. Berry, and Mrs. Reedy our appreciation for all they do as we celebrate Administrative Professionals Week!

3. Kindergarteners will travel to Northside High School Monday to see Aesop's Fables, and first-graders will attend on Wednesday.

4. Fourth and fifth grade students will participate in Field Day on Friday, April 29. Snack sales will begin Monday.
