A Little Bit About This Page and Me

My name is Mrs. Ibarra and I am your child’s math and science first grade teacher. I am excited to be your child’s teacher. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. I graduated from the University of Houston in bilingual early childhood education. I am married and have one son who is seven years old. Many of my hobbies include going to the park for walks and cooking new recipes in the kitchen, I also enjoy reading children’s literature, taking pictures, and making scrapbooks. I chose to become a teacher because I have a passion for teaching children new and exciting things. This newsletter is my way of sharing with you all the wonderful things we will be experiencing in class this year as well as any important information you may need to know.

Classroom Highlights of the Week

I have included this section so that you as a parent can see the high points of my classroom each and every week. This is because I want to be able to share with you all of your child’s achievements that you may not have the opportunity to witness otherwise. I feel that it is important that you share in the excitement of the children's creations and are informed about the classrooms accomplishments. Please note that this section of the newsletter will be updated every single week.
