There will be festive movies, hot cocoa, treats, board games and other fun activities available for students and teachers to help relax, unwind and prepare for the long-awaited break.
PSAT Results: 10th and 11th
The PSAT/NMSQT measures the skills and knowledge that research shows are the most essential for college and career readiness and success. If your son/daughter took the PSATs this past October, he/she should have received an email on December 9th with instructions on creating a College Board account, going to the online score report, and using the access code to view their scores.
To better understand how to interpret the PSAT results, please view this SCORE REPORT VIDEO GUIDE or view this UNDERSTANDING SCORES MANUAL.
Each skill on the PSAT is linked to applicable sub-score categories and suggestions about areas to work on for the SATs. Additionally, Khan Academy will create personalized practice based on your test performance. You are encouraged to link your college board account with Khan Academy to facilitate this process. You can visit https://www.khanacademy.org/sat to create an account and to develop a plan based on your PSAT results. At the top of the page they ask for a donation but you are not required to contribute as the SAT practice is free.
If you did not take the PSAT, you should still create an account and link to Khan Academy in order to have the same access as students that took the PSAT. Additionally, The College Board has an app called “Daily Practice for the SAT”. If you download this, you can answer the “question a day” and see how you do!
NOTE: YOUR PSAT TEST BOOKLETS WITH YOUR PAPER SCORE REPORTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE
