Important Reminder From the Cafeteria

Friday, April 29th was the last day for cafeteria charges. Please take a moment to log into MyPaymentsPlus and make sure your child has adequate funds available in their lunch account for the remainder of the school year.

Are you moving out of the Dyer district this summer?

If you have a current Kindergartner to 4th grade student who will not be returning to Dyer for the 2016-17 school year, or a 5th grade student who will not attend Twin Rivers for 6th grade, please send in a signed note by Wednesday, May 18th to let us know where you will be attending next school year.

To make enrollment at your new school easier, a withdrawal packet will be prepared for these non-returning students and sent home.

Summer Learning

Information about our summer learning program was sent home a few weeks ago in Friday folders, and can also be found below. There are two parts to the program this year: reading 60 minutes a week and completing 45 pages in the Summer Bridge Activities workbook. We are excited about the prizes the children will earn if they successfully complete both parts of the program. See the flyer for more information.

Message from MVHS Baseball

The 2016 Bears baseball Summer Youth Camps are quickly approaching, and we are very excited about the growth of these camps, and how they continue to contribute to the success of our high school baseball program. The camps consist of an extensive fundamental emphasis in the areas of base running, throwing, catching, infield play, outfield play, pitching and hitting. With the growing successes of our youth and high school programs, we continue to be very excited about our camps, and getting to know and teach future Bears the "MV WAY." Please see the Summer Baseball Camp flyer (below) , and feel free to reach out to Jason Johnson with any questions you may have pertaining to our camps.

We will again be offering two different camps for the upcoming summer- an 8th grade (rising 9th graders), and a Youth Camp for grades K-7th. The 8th Grade Camp will take place on Tuesday, May 31, from 9:00 AM -3:00 PM. The Youth camp will take place June 6-8, from 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM. Please be sure to register soon, and drop off your completed camp flyer to the MV Community School as soon as possible, as the spots are starting to fill up quickly. Go Bears!
