Principal Appreciation
Lifetouch and the Illinois Principals Association invite you to celebrate National Principals Month. Please, #ThankAPrincipal for how well they run your child’s school.
District 103 principals are second to none! Each day, our committed group of principals work with our staff to provide a safe, caring and intellectually challenging experience for our students. From the early morning to late evenings, our principals dedicate themselves to ensuring each student is cared for and given a high-quality education in a nurturing environment.
Please join District 103 in recognizing the dedication and commitment of our school administrators as they lead our teaching and learning communities to provide innovative learning experiences which empower each student to excel and make a difference in a diverse and interconnected world.

Mix It Up Day
DW participated in Mix It Up at Lunch Day, an international campaign that encourages students to identify, question and cross social boundaries. Daniel Wright students were charged with making symbols and structures out of Legos that illustrated Wright Way characteristics of showing respect, being responsible, and being positive. For photos of the activity, please visit the school's Facebook page.
Concert Season Begins
Daniel Wright band, choir, and orchestra kicked off their concert season with an afternoon community performance. Please visit the school's YouTube channel to view the band, chorus, and orchestra concert from Thursday evening.
Join Our Vision 2025 Committee
For the past 5 years, our strategic plan, Vision 2020, has guided the work of our district. With our goals accomplished, we will create a new plan, Vision 2025. Below is a short video summarizing our work these past 5 years.
I am seeking a new visioning committee of staff, parents, students and community members to help set the new vision for the district. The first part of the work will be to define what we want our students to look like when they graduate from D103. This “Portrait of a Graduate” will help define the second part of creating how we reach that vision through the new strategic plan. The committee will meet six times this year on the following dates and times:
- Sunday, November 3 (12-3 p.m.)
- Thursday, December 12 (6-9 p.m.)
- Thursday, January 9 (6-9 p.m.)
- Thursday, January 30 (6-9 p.m.)
- Sunday, March 8 (12-5 p.m.)
- Thursday, March 12 (6-9 p.m.)
If you are interested in being a part of this important committee, please complete this short form by Monday, October 28 at 5:00 p.m. You will be notified by Wednesday, October 30 if you will be part of the committee.
