"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."~Benjamin Franklin
I will be out of the building this Friday, August 25, for a meeting. If you need anything at all you can always reach me by phone at 330-819-9234.
I will keep this newsletter short~~ have a great week 2!
Important Reminders
- Please remember to share with me your class expectations that you spoke about in your grade level meetings. I would like for them to be posted on your teacher page for parent review.
- Students will be bringing in their Summer reading logs to homeroom teachers tomorrow. Please keep track in a Google Doc (shared with me) of students who returned their logs as well as attempted their Moby Max. An example of a google doc is in the link below. If you need help creating this, just say the word :) Each student has two chances to win a dress down coupon. Please remember that dress down coupons cannot be used on Fridays. Please let Shelly Ivey know how many dress down coupons you will need for your class.

- In order for each teacher to see their current homeroom Moby Max results please change your Moby Max password to FalconPride16 so that any teacher in the building can access your account and see their students.
- It is my hope that teachers will review the Falcon Five with your students as often as you can. I will be connecting them to our announcements a couple of times a week.
End of the Year awards
Additionally, we will be recognizing our teachers in a different way this year by awarding a Teacher of the Year.
5 Minutes for Faith
"As educators of the whole person, we experience that carousel of questions and worries in a raw and sometimes relentless way. Will my students get what they need to flourish? Can I provide the love and guidance they deserve? Are my skills and intentions enough? Do I have the strength of mind and heart to emulate the one true Teacher?" The passage went on to say that Christ guides us in all that we do and will always provide for what we desire. So, if we desire to be the best teacher and emulate Him in all things, and ask Him to help us to be more like Him in our teachings He will provide and guide us to the right path.
I hope that you are able to spend some time this week in prayer thanking God for all that He has given you to make you the teacher that you are, as well as asking Him for guidance on the teacher you would still like to become.
Emergency Drills
Please also check that you still have your red/green card for fire drills in your classroom. If you are missing any of these items, please let me know ASAP.
