ACRM | American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine
ACRM is a member of CARF’s International Advisory Council (IAC). If you are a member of ACRM, you already know the benefits of being involved with the premiere association of rehabilitation researchers and providers. The ability as rehab providers to exchange ideas and concepts with individuals who are leaders in research is a unique opportunity and one that offers rehabilitation providers the ability to be engaged and stay current in the field.
For those of you who are not members, ACRM has special interest groups that address the areas CARF accredits in. For example brain injury, stroke, spinal cord, and pediatrics. They have special groups on outcomes and also address pain and other pertinent rehabilitation areas. These groups are combinations of researchers and providers all collaborating together to improve and enhance the lives of those you serve in your organizations.
Involvement with ACRM, participating in the special interest groups and attendance at their annual meeting are great ways to also have the latest information to meet the standards about your treatment strategies and interventions and how they are supported by research, clinical evidence, peer review articles etc. ACRM is the owner of the ARCHIVES the leading rehabilitation journal. This journal is also one of the perks of membership in ACRM.
