The Weekly Buzz
September 11 - September 14
Here are the reminders for this week!
Hope you had a great long weekend, AGAIN!
Thought for this week- "Children must be taught how to think, not what to think" ~Margaret Mead
- Tuesday is "Patriots Day," we will have a recognized moment of silence. Please speak about this day with your class as you feel necessary.
- Popsicles from the Welcome Back celebration are in the teachers' lounge freezer. Please enjoy them with your class at your earliest convenience. Send pictures to Betsy or Michelle (or place in KCS Staff folder) so we can post a thank you to the PTO!
- A survey will be sent out this week regarding our time with Allison Zmuda this year- it will be posted on Google Classroom, be on the lookout!
- Please be sure to read ALL of the leadership team meeting notes. They will be shared through a Google Doc with the ability for you to "comment" on the document. This will be an easy way to ask questions about the outcomes and discussion from the meeting so everyone can view the question and answer.
Important dates to pin!

Visiting Martha's Vineyard, for the first time, with my family.

Going to California,
Valerie Vega:
I couldn't possibly paraphrase this funny story for Val:
I guess my summer memory would be spending quality time with my family. Best/funniest one would be driving in Costa Rica up a mountain on a dirt/rocky/pot holey road with a 2WD rental car. Car couldn't make it up (following relatives who lost us) tried several times. My eyes were closed because I thought we were going to destroy the car. Nacho and Aiden finally got out to push. Gabrielle drove because I didn't have the guts to do it. They pushed, she drove like crazy, they yelled keep going, and we left them in the dust. Relatives laughed when they saw Gab driving with Nacho and Aiden no where to be found because they were still walking up the hill. Another Vega family adventure in the books.
