US Canada Relationship

Social
Canada and the US have very similar ethnic groups and ancestry paths. The United States and Canada are very friendly and are allies. Most of their ancestors come from European Colonies. The people of the two countries are very alike in customs and religions.
Economical
The United States and Canada make up the world’s largest "bilateral" trade relationship, with a total trade of $429.7 billion in 2009. Both countries have high energy needs, and the power plant industry is very sufficient to provide jobs to the citizens. The economies of the United States and Canada are highly integrated.
Political
The United States and Canada share the same continent and also have the longest shared border in the world. About 300,000 people cross between the countries every day. The US and Canada are military allies, which means team mates. The two countries often make agreements and their governments are relatively alike
