She organized the first women's right convention. This was established in 1848 in New York and she was a part of the National American Women Suffrage Association.
Robert Owen
In New Lanark, Scotland Owen bought a mill and made it in to a work place. He created different work hours due to the wore hours before. He created sick leave, and eligibility for kids to go to school.
Elihu Burritt
Elihu helped with the pursuit of peace and wrote a pamphlet on Four Months in Skbbereen. He was made the consul at Birmingham by Abraham Lincoln.
William Lloyd Garrison
Will was the voice of many people abolitionism.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Emerson was a strong American poet and philosopher. He traveled to Europe and on his way home he returned to New England and became the person who challenged traditional thought.
Neal Dow
He wanted the sates to ban alcohol drinks. After his petition there were raids on liquor sellers.
Horace Mann
Mann's nickname was "Father of the Common School"
Dorothea Dix
Ms. Dix was able to write a book and become a nurse for the United States Army as the Superintendent during the Civil War. She also did a trial on the mentally ill people in jails, hospital and anywhere else she could conduct her investigation.
Mr. Graham wanted everyone to eat healthier, take care of their hygiene, and become ore aware of what they digested into their bodies, so he became apart of the diet reform.
