Newsletter Week 3, Term 1
Huirangi Primary School, Monday 14th February 2022
Kia Ora Koutou, Hello Everyone!
What a great start to the school year! All tamariki are happy and settled and are doing a fabulous job with their mask wearing. Thank you again to all of you for having conversations with your child about returning to school. The settled, calm and happy nature of our students has obviously been reflected by this.
This year we are trialing a different way of reporting to you on your child's academic progress. We will be holding 3-way Learning Conferences in Terms One and Three. These meetings will involve you, your child and their teacher and will include a progress report and a collaborative goal setting session. We are excited to be trialing this and will ask for your feedback at the end of the year to decide whether this format will continue or not.
This term our Policy Reviews focus on Health and Safety Management and Emergency, Disaster and Crisis Management. Please click on the links to read our policies and provide feedback where you think necessary.

A huge thank you to all of the parents who came to camp. Your help and support for all our tamariki was outstanding. The caliber of parents makes a camp, so thank you again for all you did. A huge thanks also to John Elliot from Out of Bounds who led a camp our kids will never forget.
