Jacob Riis

By Nicholas Anderson

Jacob August Riis (May 3, 1849 – May 26, 1914) was a Danish-American social reformer, "muckraking" journalist and social documentary photographer. He is known for using his photographic and journalistic talents to help the impoverished in New York City; those impoverished New Yorkers were the subject of most of his prolific writings and photography

Jacob Riis best quote in my opinion

"Look at a stone cutter hammering away at his rock, perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred-and-first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not the last blow that did it, but all that had gone before." This quote is very good at saying that people repeat many thing and when they try to stop it takes many mishaps to change what you do
I predict that he will help the future people by telling them to expand their mind
