WEEKLY NEWS HIGHLIGHTING OUR STUDENTS & STAFF
More than 100 community members and school staff attended the Ozark School District's Long Range Planning meeting Nov. 8 to discuss and plan the future of Ozark schools.
The second of a three-part series, this meeting divided attendees into six focus groups: finance, early childhood services and special education, facilities, grade configurations/sizes, safety and security, and transportation.During short, 20-minute sessions, each group provided feedback on the direction the school district should move in that area.
The purpose of the Long Range Planning Task Force, which consists of school staff, community leaders, business leaders, parents, and patrons of the District, is to evaluate and update the District’s current long range plan in an effort to plan for and manage growth in a timely and fiscally-responsible manner.
The focus groups were a great success with wonderful participation from those who attended.
The final meeting is slated for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at East Elementary. For more information, visit www.ozarktigers.org/longrangeplan.
