A Week in Review
Reading - We continued our Launch unit this week, talking about finding text evidence, expanding vocabulary, and finding out where our students are as readers. We also took a STAR Test to find out student's reading levels.
Math - We explored the topic of graphing and learning how to explain our thinking while graphing ordered pairs to reveal hidden pictures.
Science - We inquired on how we could observe Newton's 1st and 3rd Laws of Motion in our everyday lives.
Social Studies - This week we learned how to find places on a map using latitude and longitude lines. Check out our video on twitter.

Grammar - We are working on the basics of grammar with Subject and Predicate.
A Peek Into Next Week
Math - There will be a Math test on Thursday after we finish our Rational Numbers Unit at the beginning of the week. On Tuesday, resources will be available on Tenmarks to review before the test.
Reading - We will be launching our fiction unit next week.
Housekeeping
There will be no school next Friday, September 23 because of Teacher Inservice.
