Learning Targets of the Week
Math
* Round numbers to estimate sums, differences, products, and quotients
*Estimate to check that an answer is reasonable
*Decide whether an estimate or an exact answer is needed
ELA
*Follow rules to make nouns plural & use commonly confused words accurately
* Identify cause/effect relationships in fiction text*Analyze fiction text to determine the story structure
Social Studies
*Create a salt dough map of WA to show various landforms and regions found in our state
Science
* Describe how our opposable thumb helps us perform everyday tasks
*Define joint, articulated, immobilize
Religion
*Explain that sin leads us away from God

YAY, we survived the storm of the decade!!! Just kidding, but I am very thankful we didn't have the damage and destruction that was predicted. Hope you all had a relaxing weekend and are ready to party S.M.A.R.T. Family Auction style this coming Saturday! I look forward to seeing you!
VFW Essay- Students essays due on Oct. 26th. Entering the essay contest is voluntary but a completed essay for class is required.
Saints Coloring Contest- due by Friday, Oct. 21st to be entered in the contest. The winner will receive a gift card to the Oyster House.

The parade begins @ 1:15pm Non-scary, weaponless costumes can be worn during our party and while we watch the paraders.
