CAMERA ANGLES AND SHOTS
REMEMBER OUR CAMERA ANGLES
Extreme Close up
It makes a very small detail such as only part of a character's face fill the screen.
Over the shoulder
It is a shot of someone or something taken from the perspective or camera angle from the shoulder of another person.
Medium shot
Often a medium shot shows a character's upper body, arms, and head.
Birds eye view
A bird's-eye view is an elevated view of an object from above, with a perspective as though the observer were a bird.
Canted Angle
It is slanted to one side, sometimes used for dramatic effect to help portray unease, disorientation, frantic or desperate action, intoxication, madness, etc.
Eye level
It is the one in which the camera is placed at the subject’s height, so if the actor is looking at the lens, he wouldn’t have to look up or down.
High Angle
It is usually when the camera angle is located above the eyeline.
Low Angle
It is taken with the camera placed in a
position below and pointing upward at the subject.
