Holliday Happenings
100th Day of School
Friday marked the 100th day of the school year. Our first and second grade students participated in various activities to celebrate 100 days of learning!
Noah, from Mrs. Longworth's class, had 100 superhero symbols on a shirt his mom made.
Mrs. Yeakley's reading class wrote what they would want 100 of after hearing the book 100 School Days.
Second grade ate a special snack.
Students in Mrs. Littlefied's class made 100 day bracelets.
They also decorated hats.
This student worked on her 100 gear while snacking!
Asset Basketball
C. F. Holliday has 4 asset basketball teams that are coached by our very own Holliday teachers. The students have practice once a week and play against other West Carrollton elementary schools on Saturday mornings at the WCMS and ECC. Come watch them play!
Lunch Advisory Board
Mrs. Pett came over to Holliday to meet with the lunch advisory board again. This time she brought food for the students to sample. They tried buffalo chicken pizza, calzones, tacos, oven baked "fried" chicken, cheese filled pretzels, kiwi, plantains and sweet peppers. The students then ranked the food. Next year's lunch menu will have a featured day based on the advisory board's favorite selections. How fun!
