Why did they come to the U.S

They came to the U.S.A for better land to build farms on and to live the way they wanted to.

Where did they settled?

They settled in the American colonies, and came to Pennsylvania in 1683 and found German town.

First year in the U.S.A

By pormising to work for three years or more without pay. In the mid-1800s some gremans went to places that were not like gremany. Such as Texas and California, because they wanted a change. Most immigrants still speak greman in the colonies.


When they came to the U.S.A they brought Easter and they hunt eggs and eat them, and Christmas they had a feast. The Christmas tree was a tradition and the first Christmas tree in the U.S.A was decorated in Pennsylvania in 1821.
