NEISD October Super Star Student

North East ISD is excited to introduce its first Superintendent “NEISD Super Star of the Month” program. This eight-month program allows every principal to highlight one boy and one girl who are making “super strides” on campus.

Roosevelt Theater Company "Clue" - October 6th

Clue was definitely an amazing production for the books. A huge shout-out to the cast and production team for making the script come to life.

Texas Fashion Week Competition - October 7th

FCCLA students from Mrs. Taylor’s Fashion Design classes participated in the Texas Fashion Week Sustainability Fashion Competition. Students were required to reuse/repurpose items into outfits for the runway. Designs by Ramses, Mia, and Honey were voted into the top 10 and walked the runway.

GT Parent Awareness Meeting - October 20th

NEISD Gifted & Talented (GT) is hosting a district-wide Parent Awareness Meeting on Thursday, October 20th, at 6:30 PM at NEISD Community Learning Center.


This meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about GT including K-12 GT services,

referrals and assessment, GT curriculum, and parent resources.

Reflections 2022 - Deadline October 26th

Did you create a masterpiece for this year's PTSA Reflections? If so, the deadline for entries is Wednesday, October 26th. Please submit all final products to Ms. Hinojosa (AS105) or Ms. Perez (librarian).

NEISD District Library Advisory Committee - Deadline October 30th

Applications are being accepted for the Roosevelt High School Library Reconsideration Committee. This committee would meet in the event of a book in the school library being formally challenged.


Parents interested in volunteering on the NEISD District Library Advisory Committee may use the same form linked above and check the box at the bottom of the page. Applications for immediate consideration are due to the campus principal by October 30, 2022, but parents may submit applications throughout the year and be added to the applicant pool.

“Pink Out” isn't just about dressing in pink from head to toe or showing extra spirit on game days. Wearing this color is a way to show your support for breast cancer awareness and the push to find cures for this deadly disease.

NEISD Clothes Closet - October Donations

Roosevelt PTSA needs your help in collecting underwear and gently used jeans for our NEISD community. Students of all ages visit the NEISD Clothes Closet seeking many clothing items. However, the need for underwear and jeans is growing rapidly.


Please drop off any donations of packaged underwear or gently used jeans in the boxes located near the front office or library.


Another option is using the PTA Amazon Wishlist for donations. Simply scan the QR code to the flyer below and select an item to purchase and donate to NEISD Clothes Closet.

Roosevelt Family Specialist

Melissa Mendiola is Roosevelt's Family Specialist. Her email is mmendi2@neisd.net. Ms. Mendiola is available to assist with any needs or issues in a student's home life that can negatively affect a student's ability to excel at school. She is able to provide support and services for all students and their families, creating a true connection between home, school, and community.

NEISD 2022 - 2023 Exam Exceptions

The district has updated the Exam Exemption Guidelines for 2022 - 2023 to include absences and tardies.

  • Absences and tardies for last week and this week (8/10/2022- 8/19/2022) will not go towards exemptions.

  • An extenuating absence due to a positive covid test will not count toward exemptions.

Rough Rider Cafe

Each student at Roosevelt High School will receive one free breakfast and one free lunch in the 2022-2023 school year. Any additional breakfasts or lunches will be charged to the student. Students without adequate funds will not be allowed to purchase extra items or meals.

Reminder- NO Outside Food Deliveries

Students are not allowed to have food deliveries to Roosevelt campus at any time (from Uber Eats, grub hub, restaurants, etc). Thank you for your understanding.
