EC Science Research Competition

27 EC students in grades 4 through 6 competed in the local Science Research Competition this past week. Students met virtually with their judges to discuss their projects. Projects that are selected to move on in the competition will compete at the county level in March. Congratulations to all those students who competed!

The 6th Grade county competition is on Tuesday, March 8th. The 4th and 5th Grade competition is on Wednesday, March 9th.


A special "thanks" to grade 5 teacher, Ms. Keeley White for being the advisor for the school's competition.

2022-23 Kindergarten Registration - Occurring Soon!

OJRSD's kindergarten registration for next school year begins on Tuesday, February 1st! Families will be able to begin the registration process. Then, in March appointments will be set up so that families can the provide the schools with the needed proof of residency information and vaccination information. At this time, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is not requiring school-age children to be vaccinated for COVID 19.

East Coventry Sock Drive

East Coventry Student Council is holding a sock drive from January 18-28. Our goal is to collect at least 100 pairs of new socks to donate to the Joy of Sox foundation. This foundation helps supply socks to homeless shelters in our area. Socks are the number one needed item and the least donated. Please help keep our community warm and donate a pair of socks! We need adult and child-sized socks. Remember they need to be new socks and need to be brought in by January 28th. Collection boxes are located in each hallway. The class with the most socks collected will get to choose our next school-wide spirit day. We will also have crazy sock day on January 28th!! Pizza Kits from Piccolo Mondo

Get ready for a fun family evening making pizza! It couldn’t be easier, or more delicious! Help jump start our PTO by purchasing a kit or 2 (and ask your friends and family to join in!). Simply fill out the form that was sent home, send it back to school with payment, and swing by Piccolo Mondo on January 26th for easy, contactless pick-up! Math Nights with Mathnasium

Mark your calendars for yet another awesome PTO sponsored event….Math Night!! The experts from Mathnasium in Collegeville will come to EC with an experience for our kiddos like none other! Kindergarten - 2nd grade will be March 11th, and 3rd grade - 6th will be March 25th. This FREE event will bring a fun assortment of games and activities, where students will get their passports stamped to earn prizes! We can’t wait!!

Silent Auction

As part of our Ice Cream Social & Art Walk in April, we’re bringing a Silent Auction to you! GET EXCITED!!! There’s going to be so many fun things for both kids and parents to bid on! Science Explorers

Science Explorers is coming back to EC! If your kiddos like science exploration, this is the after school club for them. It is open to all K-6 students, and will be led by the lovely Miss Bobak on select Thursdays from 3:15 - 4:15. Go to their website (scienceexplorers.com) for more info and to register. Our first session has already begun and 22 of EC’s finest are having a blast!
