Domain 1: Bellringers and Exit Tickets
Some research has called the first four minutes and last four minutes of a class period the most important of the hour. Did you know that these formal and informal assessments and checks for understanding can be used as artifacts for Danielson Domain 1? They "demonstrate a knowledge of content and pedagogy." Both bell ringers and exit tickets exemplify an application of skills. Some measure what students have retained, and others measure a level of understanding about new information.
