Supporting Students Emotionally Through School Closure
Dear Families,
Students of all ages will go through these next few weeks differently. We, as adults, will process these next few weeks differently. That is okay! Below are resources for you and your child to utilize as you see helpful. If you need to contact a counselor about social and/or emotional concerns your child may be experiencing during the school closure, scheduling for the fall, college applications, additional resources, etc., you can reach us best through email. We are monitoring our email daily and will respond ASAP.

College Visits: On Campus visits will have to be virtual visits most likely through June. For example, MSU has cancelled all on campus visits until July 1, 2020. You can find virtual campus tours on most college/university websites under Admissions. You can also call an admission counselor at all colleges/universities and have them field your questions regarding what their institutions may have to offer to you.
College Applications: The process begins in August, 2020. All applications are online.

SAT: The spring School Day SAT was cancelled due to the pandemic. SAT is working with the State of Michigan to offer SAT testing in the fall of your senior year. Currently, we don't know what that will look like, but we will let you know as soon as a plan is in place. The lack of a SAT test score will not hinder your applying to colleges and universities this fall. Even under normal conditions, colleges and universities will accept scores after you apply. You will still be able to apply to college starting in August, 2020.
