Students at AMS have surpassed our expectations with the AMS Eagle Challenge! Over half of our Launchpad and Morning Meeting groups had 100% participation for multiple days of community building! The response has been incredible as we focus on the small acts each of us can do to build community. We appreciate the partnership with families and your willingness to continue these conversations at home. On Tuesday's Late Start, we will have a 5th/6th grade assembly and a 7th/8th grade assembly to talk more about our school-wide expectations of SOAR and how we can each contribute to a positive environment for all. We'll celebrate the "S" for success and look for new ways to incorporate this into the school day!

This week for Wellness Wednesday at AMS, we asked the students “what do you do to recharge your batteries (other than sleep!)?” We heard a lot of great ideas from the students such as exercising, listening to music, watching a movie, hanging out with friends, and baking! It made us pause as the adults and wonder what WE do to recharge OUR batteries. Being a parent/guardian is hard work. It is just as important for us to recharge! Students who would like a "re-take" of their school photo or who were absent on our original picture day will have their photo taken on Friday, November 5. Those who purchased a photo package should bring it with them for exchange.

Learn about 3D modeling, graphic design, and the engineering process.

WIZARDS and WARRIORS Club - Wednesday's starting October 13 - 7th & 8th grade only

Mythological game for epic adventures, monsters and hero's. Lots of mental math, probability, problem solving logic and social thinking.

SCIENCE BOWL - Tuesday's starting October 19th - 6th, 7th and 8th graders only

Quiz Bowl style activity with possibility of competing against other schools about your science knowledge.

ART CLUB - Thursday's starting November 4 - ALL GRADES

Weekly projects that are messy and fun. Trying out different projects and art materials.
