Volume 2 - Issue 14 - November 4, 2019
Message from the Principal
Dear Cavaliers,
Thank you to the Chula Vista Police Department for partnering with us and providing a very informative presentation on the new trends and dangers of Vaping at our Coffee with the Principal meeting this past Friday. Thank you to the parents/guardians that attended the presentation, I hope that you found the information useful and you now feel more equipped to help guide your student towards making good choices. I have attached an article that our students read last week as part of our Red Ribbon Week activities for you to read.
This past Friday our students received a copy of their second progress report card. If you haven't done so already, please make sure you take some time to discuss your student's progress report grades. Celebrate your student's achievement and develop a game plan to improve grades where needed. If you need assistance going over your student's grades, please contact our counselors or your child's teacher. You can contact CVM Faculty through CANVAS or by email by using each teacher's email in the following format: firstname.lastname@sweetwaterschools.org
The next grading period is critical, as it will serve as the official semester grading period and classes passed will be counted towards the 21 credits needed for middle school promotion. If your student needs any assistance, please make sure you reach out to us for help.
Thank you for your hard work, dedication and remember;
At CVM we work HARD, we dream BIG, we believe in OURSELVES and we never, ever , GIVE UP!
