By: Principal Dufrene (Dec. 14th)
Hello Trojan Nation,
In the meantime, it is crucial that our students put in the work each week. The longer that we are 100% virtual learning, the more I worry that we are losing some of our students. Parents, please keep checking in with your child to see how they are progressing in Schoology. Students, please give your best effort and communicate with your teachers. Teachers, please keep being flexible and understanding. If we work together, we will get through this and we will move forward in a positive direction. Most students are failing due to no communication with their teachers and no effort on assignments...we can not help these students unless they contact us and do their work.
We want all our students to be successful! We understand that students, teachers, and families are being asked to take on more than ever. Our effort and attitude will get us through this! Please do not hesitate to reach out as needed. 2nd Nine Weeks Progress Reports will be mailed home by the end of the week.
Please remember, with the possibility of snow this week..."snow days" are still instructional days that count. Teachers will provide assignments through Schoology and students are expected to complete them. This allows the county to count the days so we can keep June 3rd as our last day with students and not have to extend the school year.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING MEAL PICK UP (updated 12/14/20)
Due to the anticipated snow storm curbside meals will be given out tomorrow December 15th from 1:00 pm- 3:00pm at all locations except Slanesville Elementary.
Curbside meals will be available again on Dec. 22nd at all locations from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Healthy Expectations from Nurse Dante:
I want to express my sincere appreciation to all our school staff, our county Health Department, parents and students as we have really pulled together to keep everyone informed and safe. When an increase in cases among staff was noted, investigations were done, necessary information was shared, and plans were put into place giving staff options. I want to give a special thank you to our School Nurses. You have and continue to work long hours, as we assist daily with case investigation, contact tracing and monitoring. Thank You!!
Our common goal is to return have staff and students safely return to the classrooms. Please keep this in mind over the holidays. It is really important that we all continue to social distance, wear our masks, limit social gatherings to 10 or less with no new contacts, when possible, and practice daily self-care and monitoring.
Please continue to keep our families here and afar in thought and prayer as there are many dealing with the effects of this virus daily.
Stay safe. Merry Christmas!
