Searcy FFA Attends Nationals
The SHS FFA Ag Mechanics team traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, to compete at the national convention during the week of October 26-31. Congratulations to the FFA Ag Mechanics team and their faculty advisor Addison Safley.

SWMS Hosts Block Party on October 22
Southwest Middle School held its first Main Event that students were allowed to purchase with their Lion Money as a reward. Through their new Lion Ledger school economy system, the students have been learning about deposits, withdrawals, and budgeting. The Main Event was the SWMS Block Party and included team building games, inflatables, a dunking booth, a cake walk, fire and police vehicle tours, and food trucks.
Thirty-five Named to All-Region Choir
On October 16th many of the Searcy High School Choir students auditioned for the Arkansas Choral Directors Association Region 1 All-Region Choirs. Thirty-seven students from Searcy High School were named to one of the Arkcda Region All-Region Choirs or as an alternate. These students will participate in a clinic and concert on Saturday, November 6th at Harding University under the direction of University of Arkansas Associate Professor of Music and Music Education Grammy Award winner, Jeffery Allen Murdock and Beebe High School Choral Director, Chris Cross.
Searcy High School Wrestling Team Assists Community
The SHS wrestling team donated its time assisting Unity Health with a cleanup project and working shifts at the Harp's Customer Appreciation Day where they assisted with children's activities such as bounce houses and face painting. We are so proud of our students who put community first!

Fire Safety Week
Searcy Fire Department visited Sidney Deener Elementary School during Fire Prevention Week and shared valuable safety skills with students while having fun at the same time.
Westside Elementary School Holds Pumpkin Patch Experience
Westside Elementary School hosted the "Pumpkin Patch Experience" complete with pumpkin decorating, hay bale obstacle course, apple cider, and hayride storytime. It was set up and provided by Searcy Farm Supply, Peebles Farm, and our awesome PTO volunteers. Thank you to all for making it a fantastic event!
