Mission Statement
To support student achievement in a safe, caring environment by building a collaborative environment that facilitates effective and cohesive instruction with equity and fidelity.
Dear Walnut Hill Families,
We celebrated Black History month in February but the truth is, at our school, culture and diversity is celebrated everyday! We stress the importance of building tolerance, curiosity and respect for others. The more our students are aware of other cultures, the more able they will be to recognize the beauty of diversity. Take a moment to watch this video with your child and talk about the importance of acceptance of all people.
As always, we thank you for your support and welcome feedback.
Respectfully Yours,
Nikki Longlee'
Your Child's Attendance Is Important!
Welcome back to school everyday! Our attendance has improved so much! Please remember that in-person means that students should be at school everyday. If students log in remotely, they will still be counted as being absent when they do not log in. We would encourage all students to return to in-person learning. We are ready to begin fourth quarter. Set a personal goal to be here every day and on time.
From Our Nurse's Office
We will continue following the CDC and Douglas County Health Department guidelines which include good hand-washing (20 seconds of scrubbing with soap and water), staying 6 feet apart, and wearing adequate coverings over our mouth and nose.
STAYING HOME. If students have symptoms or have been exposed to a person who tested positive for COVID-19 with or without symptoms, that child needs to stay home. Also if a students has a fever, chills, stomachache, vomiting, diarrhea, cough, and/or headache, they need to stay home.
Please call Walnut Hill’s school nurse at 531-299-2202 if you have any questions. Thank you for caring for the health of our Walnut Hill Family.
