Helpful Info For the 2014-15 School Year

Logging In

1. Log into KISDConnect and click on the Teacher Access Center link.

2. Username and password are the same as what you use to log into your KISD computer.

Attendance

1. Log into KISDConnect and click on the Teacher Access Center link.

Categories

1. From the Navigation bar, click Gradebook > Setup

2. Click on Change to open the Class List chooser and select the desired course and marking period, and then click OK.

3. Click the Categories tab.

4. Set up Summative/Formative/Spelling categories using instructions in KISD Administrative Procedures

5. To save information in a row, click in the Actions column.

6. To include a new category, click on the Add New Row icon on the toolbar. Repeat as necessary.

Assignments

1. From the Navigation Bar, open the Gradebook page (Gradebook > Entry).

2. Click on Change to open the Class List chooser and select the desired

course and marking period, and then click OK.

3. Click the Add Assignment icon to open the Assignment Details drawer.

4. Enter details of the assignment.

5. Click Save to save the assignment.

6. Click Close to close the Assignment Details drawer.

Entering Gradebook Scores

1. From the My Classes pane on the Home page, click Gradebook for the class. The Gradebook page displays.

2. Click in a cell and type a valid numerical or alpha score. Only the following alpha marks are accepted:

  • E = Excused and will not be counted against the student’s average
  • I = Incomplete and will be counted as a zero (0) in the student’s average
  • ABS = Absent and will not be counted against the student’s average
  • MIS = Missing and will be counted as a zero (0) in the student’s average.

3. Click to save additions or changes to assignment scores. (It is good practice to periodically click as you work.)
