Grizzly Growl
March 2022
Letter from the Principals, Mr. Cullum & Mrs. Torgeson
Hello Mary Purcell Elementary Families:
March has arrived at Mary Purcell and with that our two Foundations Kindergarten Classes have finished their first month of school and settled into routines and procedures. This week we have early release days at 12:30 on Thursday, March 3rd and Friday, March 4th for conferences. These are targeted conferences selected by our teaching staff. If you have not heard from your child's teacher by this time and would like a conference, please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule a conference. We are excited to announce that beginning this month we are able to allow volunteers back into our school and classrooms. The school district continues to follow the Department of Health guidelines in that on-campus volunteers will be limited and must be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination and a background check are required prior to volunteering. Fully vaccinated does not include the booster shot.
More fabulous news, our Parent Group is hosting their annual Book Fair March 14 - 18th with a family night on March 17th 6:00-7:30 pm. We are equally happy to bring back our family math night on March 24th 6:00 - 7:00 pm in the gym. As we begin to return to pre-Covid school operations and function we would like to encourage parents/guardians to consider becoming active members with Mary Purcell’s Parent Booster Club. They are a warm and welcoming group of people that offer so many opportunities to our students through their hard work and dedication. Please call the school for meeting dates and times.

Mary Purcell will hold scheduled and/or requested conferences this Thursday, March 3 and Friday, March 4, triggering early release on both days. School released @ 12:30 pm.
