The amount of sleep that is needed for Teens is about 8 1/2 hours to 9 1/4 a night.

What is the Sleep hormone?
The Sleep Hormone is Melatonin. This is produced by the pineal gland. This is used to control your sleep and wake cycle. some doses of this is found in food such as protein, fruits, and vegetables.
How can sleep help you? Hurt you?
Sleep is very beneficial for you. Adequate amount of sleep will lessen stress, and help you make good choices. Deprivation of sleep can affect your concentration, and can cause heart disease. Drowsy driving can cause Accidents. Deprivation of sleep can also cause sleep walking.
