We will miss you 4th graders!
Good Bye Arrowhead students! We will miss you!
We will never for get the 2019-2020 school year!
We wanted to take some time to send well wishes to Mrs. Sara Kehs, one of our 4th grade teachers. Mrs. Kehs has decided to retire at the end of this school year. I want to personally thank Mrs. Kehs for everything she has done to support our students, staff, school, and community. She was instrumental in running our student council. We will certainly miss her as a teacher, colleague, and friend. I already asked Mrs. Kehs to sign up for the sub list, fingers crossed. In all seriousness, it has been a pleasure working with Mrs. Kehs. We wish her all the best in retirement and we hope that she will enjoy the new found time with her family and friends.
Best wishes to Miss Hagel!
We also would like to send our best wishes to Miss Brianne Hagel, our grade 2-4 communications teacher. Miss Hagel will be transitioning to Worcester next year in a new role as the K-4, itinerant support teacher. We thank Miss Hagel for everything she has done for all of our students, staff, school, and community. She will be missed and we wish her well in her future endeavors at Worcester. We hope that Miss Hagel will take the many ideas and lessons from Arrowhead and pass them on to the students at Worcester. Thanks for everything and we wish you much success!
Best wishes to Mrs. Rappaport!
Mrs. Sarah Rapport, our K-4 itinerant support teacher will be transitioning to Woodland Elementary School in the same role. This past year, Mrs. Rappaport split time between Arrowhead and Woodland. We thank Mrs. Rappaport for all of her contributions to our students, staff, school, and community. We wish Mrs. Rappaport all the best and know she will do wonderful things for the Woodland students and community.
Two Messages from School Counselor: Mrs. Cohen
Now more that ever, we must prioritize the social and emotional growth of our children. Social Emotional Learning (SEL) includes skills for correctly labeling emotions, recognizing the impact of thoughts and feelings, and understanding how emotions can affect behavior as well as physical health. The focus also includes teaching students how to have concern for others, make responsible decisions, develop healthy relationships, and effectively manage challenging situations. It will be important to teach our children how to set and work towards achieving positive goals, manage time and stress, and show empathy for others. With all of the above in mind, the Methacton elementary school counselors created a fun and colorful SEL packet to help your child practice these skills while home for the summer. Attached you will find an electronic copy. If you would like a hard copy of this packet, please email Dr. Roberts @ firstname.lastname@example.org and it will be available on your pick up day.

Additional summer resources for students
Please take note that digital tools like RAZ Kids, Discovery Ed, Splashmath, ALEKS, and Exact Path will still be accessible to our students. In fact, Epic announced that if parents/families signed up for the Remote Student Access subscription, their access will continue to be free over the summer during the day. Marvelous Music information
The music department has created a virtual concert that is being shared on the district website featuring videos from our instrumentalists across grades 4-6 (over 100 video submissions!!). The students submitted Flipgrid videos of themselves performing at home concerts for their families, pets, neighbors, anything that would listen.

The music department created an instrumental website that has everything a family needs to know about what Methacton School District offers in the instrumental program. Instrument demos, meet the teacher video, short video demonstrating every instrument, rental company information, and much more!
Lastly, the music department designed a newsletter to outline our program and keep families up to date as needed.
