Special Note from Coach Leslie
We are having a great time swimming this summer! Our workouts have awesome turnouts, swimmers are really working hard at their fitness and competitive goals, and we are excited to have so many new members join. But most importantly everyone is having a blast in the water either at the pool or at our group swims in Lake Jocassee. If you haven't been to see us in awhile, you are missed so come back and join us!
Greenville Splash hosts the Upstate Splash Charity Open Water Swim on Sept. 18, 2021. We would love to have you join us as a swimmer, volunteer, or sponsor. The Upstate Splash Charity is an all volunteer charity. All of our proceeds are given back to the community to provide swim lessons for children that are in need. If you are planning on swimming in this year's event make sure to register soon! Our event fills up every year and we want our Greenville Splash swimmers to be able to enter. Right now there are only 28 spots left.
Please continue to thank our team sponsors by buying their products! Come visit Alpine Ski to pick up a Dolfin swim suit and / or swim equipment. Show your bag tag and tell them you are with Greenville Splash to receive a 20% discount off swimwear and swim equipment. We are also excited to be working with Synergy Wetsuits and will soon be releasing a special discount program.
Send us pictures in your new Greenville Splash swag. Send Leslie results and pictures of your events for our next newsletter. Feel free to email Coach Leslie at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call if you need any help with anything: 864-283-1328.

Kudos to Kelly and Stanley Desmangles for learning how to swim!
Congratulations to Parker Egbert for qualifying for the Paralympic Games in Toykyo! Parker swims on Team Greenville and sometimes swims with our Masters group and with Coach Bill.
A huge shout out to ultra marathon swimmer: Steve Leitch for being the first person to swim the length of Lake Keowee. Steve said that it was one of the hardest mental and physical challenges he has done so far. It was a hard fought battle to complete the 20 mile swim in just under 12 hours. At points there were up to 20 mph headwinds, his support crew said he was swimming in place, but he never gave up. Steve is continuing to train and plans to swim across Lake Michigan in August.

Make a Difference
Thank you so much to all of our swimmers that volunteer for Greenville Splash! Your efforts help to make our community safer in the water and provide fitness and competition activities for swimmers. We host three big events every year: The South Carolina LCM State Championships, The Upstate Splash Charity Open Water Swim, and Adult Learn to Swim. We have taught over 250 adults how to swim! The Upstate Splash has raised money to provide swim lessons for over 3,000 children! We are proud to be a team that gives back to our community!
