- He was born in Munich, Germany.
- His father, Wilhelm Marc, was a professional landscape painter
- Marc's work has bright primary colors and looks like cubism
- Marc gave an emotional meaning or purpose to the colors he used in his work: blue represented man, yellow represented women and joy, and red was for violence.
- Adolf Hitler had a lot of Marc's work hidden away during World War 2.
- In 2011 over 1000 of his paintings were found in an old apartment.
