Jr. Archaeologists
Students will become archaeologists for the day, recording their observations about objects in our education collection. By studying artifacts, they will learn how the Ancient Greeks lived, how they governed themselves, and what they did for fun. Then, students will create pull toys, a common artifact left behind by children.
Democracy in Action – Herakles vs. The Niemen Lion
By examining Ancient Greek voting artifacts, students should understand the concepts of voting and the relationship of decisions, actions, and consequences. Students will then, participate in a mock trial putting Herakles on trial for the death of the Niemen Lion.
