Momentum
What is Momentum
Momentum is the tendency for an object to continue moving. Moving objects have momentum. If can be calculated from an objects mass and velocity. Momentum is a vector quantity. Momentum can be transferred and is always conserved.
The Equation
Momentum = Mass x Velocity
The Unit
kg m/s
If an object is at rest, and has a mass of 2000 kg, what it its momentum?
