Words of Inspiration

“We should strive not to have an answer for every question,

but a question for every answer.”

-Robin Pendoley

A Special Applause to...

I want to give a special thanks to the band, orchestra, and art teachers! This weekend is the big Pancake Day and Art Expo. If you haven't been, it's a lot of fun. Our students do an amazing job performing and the art displays are incredible. Thank you for the work you do to allow students to display the talents you build with them everyday!!

PD on the Fly...

The long winter months are upon us and let's be honest, a snow day does not appear to be anywhere in the near future. It's easy to fall into a rut as the Teach Thought Staff describes, "I found myself becoming increasingly frustrated in the classroom, less tolerant, less friendly, and worst of all, sarcastic. As a result, I became utterly exhausted. Something needed to change. I needed to take a step back and reflect on what was happening. Why had things changed? Where had the love gone?"

In this article, the authors provide strategies to recharge your teaching. The authors suggest these elements to get things moving again: Constructivism, Movement, Collaboration and Differentiation. In the end they provide a reflection. As you read, see what can fit into your lessons. Enjoy!
