Classroom Updates
We can’t believe that our year is almost over. All of the kids have made wonderful growth and we cant wait to see them continue to bloom in first grade!
We will finish off our last two weeks of kindergarten with a “Kinder’GARDEN’ Look How Much We’ve Grown” theme. We are excited to practice all we have learned in a fun thematic unit!
Our end of the year Kindergarten Celebration will be held on May 24th. Be on the lookout for more communication from your student’s teacher!
First grade is wrapping up the year with some great learning!
In Science, we are learning about how young organisms are like their parents. We are enjoying watching our caterpillars turn into butterflies.
Additionally, we are learning about how the movement of the sun, moon, and stars can be observed and predicted. Our field trip will be on May 9th to the Space Foundation Discovery Center.
In reading, we are working on sight words, fluency, and sounding out words with vowel teams. Our fluency goal is to read 65 words per minute with 90% accuracy by the end of the year.
In Math, we are adding and subtracting with two-digit numbers (34+14). We will also wrap up our year learning about time and shapes.
In Social Studies, we will be learning about civic symbols (Statue of Liberty) and places (US Capitol).
Our last week of school is called "Camp Learned-a-Lot" where we will "camp out" in our classroom and review learning from this past year. Students will enjoy reading in a tent, writing around a campfire, creating crafts, playing camping games, and fishing for math facts.
Hello 4th grade families!
We are winding down our year with lots of exciting things. We are looking forward to our zoo field trip, finishing up our DIBALS testing and preparing for 5th grade! It has been so much fun seeing all the growth the 4th graders have made this year and seeing them mature throughout the year. We can't wait to continue to support them next year and build relationships in there last year in Elementary school. We will be right down the hall! We thank you for all your support throughout the year and helping them grow!
5th grade has a very exciting month finishing up their last month of elementary school. They will begin learning about volume, writing poetry and starting their first DBQ. We are so excited to celebrate this month with them. More information will come soon about the end of the year celebration. We cannot wait to finish strong!

Notes from the Nurse
Please review the Immunization Chart that lists all required immunizations for students in grades Kindergarten through 12th. *Of note: Doses of some specific immunizations are due upon entrance to Kindergarten and Tdap is required prior to entry to Middle School and when the student is 10 years of age. If you have questions about any of the immunizations and whether your child is missing documentation of doses for specific immunizations please contact your school nurse.
