September Newsletter
Message From Mrs. T
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."
Our staff at Winona are very connected to our community. If there is ever anything that we can do to support your family with a community connection, please let us know. This may be support with food, clothing, housing, counseling, medical/dental, etc. If we do not know the answers to your questions, or resources that match your family's need, we will connect you with someone who does.
Thank you for sharing your student with us each day!

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
2022 - 2023 MEAL BENEFIT APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE!!!
Applications are now being accepted for the 22-23 school year. This may qualify you for other benefits such as reduced fees and the P-EBT program.
Apply online at: www.myschoolapps.com
Did you know many federal, state and local funding sources for TSD schools are based on the number of students eligible for free or reduced school meals? When you apply for free and reduced meal services, your school is eligible for additional funding that is important to maintain valuable school programs and services for families.
And, in addition to meal benefits, families who qualify for free or reduced meals are also eligible for other benefits, including reduced or waived school fees, technology support and internet access, as well as assistance with costs for a number of school programs like athletics and before/after school extracurricular activities.
If you believe you may be eligible for Free and Reduced School Meals, it is important for you to complete the Nutritional Services application linked here. Staff from the Family/Community Engagement Team would be happy to help you with the application by phone, in an online meeting, or in person at the Family Center at Stansberry.
School Lunch Cost 22-23 School Year
ATTENTION: USDA waivers allowing free school meals for all students were not extended for the 2022-2023 school year. Paid meals return for those who do not qualify for meal benefits.
Elementary Student Lunch $3.00
MILK - a la carte $1.00
Every day we offer a hot lunch and a cold lunch choice. The hot lunch is considered the main lunch choice. A cold lunch is usually a PB&J or a meat and cheese sandwich.

Universal Breakfast
Thank you for helping your student get to school on time each day!
Being to school on time each day helps students get off to a positive start. They are part of their class morning routine, can have breakfast with the class, and often feel that they are prepared to be successful with their schedule. Having a consistent morning routine may help your student be on time to school. We understand that life happens sometimes, and your routine may be interrupted! If your child is tardy, please have them check in at the office! If you would like support with creating a morning routine at home, please notify our office or your student's teacher!
Parent Pick-Up and Drop-Off
- Please remain inside of your vehicle. Staff members are able to help students enter or exit the vehicle.
- Please pull all the way forward.
- During drop-off, please have backpacks and materials ready to go so that students can exit the vehicle right away.
