Principal's Message
Greetings Elm Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful week! As a reminder we have no school on Monday, January 17, 2022 in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We've had a busy week at Elm, students in Ms. Fuentes Accelerated ELA class have been busy at work building their recreations of The Globe Theater in preparation for their read of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Great work to all of our students, your hard work most definitely showed!
Additionally it's time for our 5Essentials Survey. Take a few minutes and complete this survey, your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Please take a few minutes and read through this week’s Courier! As always, should you need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly. Stay safe! #TeamElmStrong

Here are some resources for you that were presented at our Parent Partnership this week focusing on Communicating with Your Student:
We watched this short Ted Talk given by a teen for parents and the group discussed the 1 page resource linked below.

We also went through the Trimester 2 Reset we presented to students last week. We reviewed expectations, conflict management ideas and parameters to follow for social media. Please look through the presentation and review with your student.
We look forward to continuing to partner with parents as we support our students! We will be offering these discussions at different times in order to accommodate different schedules. We also will have translator available for any Spanish speaking families.
Our next meeting will be March 2nd at 6pm in the Elm Middle School Library and our topic will be motivating the unmotivated student.
