Sunday, March 28 | Easter Sunday | Seeing Resurrection
Easter Sunday is a day of gratitude every year, but this year especially, we gather to celebrate the risen Christ with new enthusiasm. Easter reminds us of Christ’s faithfulness and His power over sin and death. We could not celebrate Easter in person last year, but this year, we will be able to proclaim that Christ is risen with our words and our worship.

Good Friday is often a day that we’d rather fast forward through, but we cannot get to the good news of Sunday without the reality of Friday. Join us for a Service of Shadows where we will reflect on the passion of Christ and better understand that our God is a God who is with us in the midst of our pain and suffering.
Join us in person or online. A reservation for in-person attendance can be made until 7 p.m.
Strike Out Hunger: 1,341 Canned Meat Items Donated
Thank you for your amazing generosity as we worked together to Strike Out Hunger. A total of 1,341 canned meat items were donated to the CCA Food Pantry, surpassing our goal of 1,000. An additional 243 various food items were donated as well.
Our initiative captured the attention of our janitorial service (Hoffman Janitorial) and Catedral de la Fe DFW (who meets at the church on Saturdays), and both supported the collection with donations.
During this season of Lent, our Loaves and Fishes Ministry continued to pick up items from area grocery stores and deliver them to the CCA Food Pantry. And our CCA Food Pantry team worked at the pantry on the second and fourth Mondays of the month.
What a wonderful partnership our church has with the CCA Food Pantry!

Classic Women Make 33 Easter Baskets for Denton County Women’s Shelter
Our Classic Women made 33 one-of-a-kind gift baskets for the women and children living at the Denton County Friends of the Family shelter to bring joy this Easter. The women donated all of the supplies and made 18 children’s baskets and 15 adult women’s baskets.
This is the 18th year that our Classic Women have made the baskets filled with health and beauty supplies, small gifts, and stuffed animals and toys for the children.
The Classic Women were especially grateful that they had their COVID-19 immunizations and could gather this year in small groups to put together the baskets.
Tithe on Your Stimulus Check Challenge by Pastor Clay
Thank you for your generous response to Pastor Clay’s challenge to give a tithe of your stimulus check to God. We experienced an outpouring of your love and support of the church this past week.
If you would like to support the church with a tithe of your stimulus check, there are several ways to give. Details about the challenge were shared in A Word from Pastor Clay, including a budget snapshot of giving and expenditures based on the first two months of 2021.
