Things to Know & Reminders
New Updates
- The January assessment window opens January 2 and concludes January 19th. Your child will complete benchmark assessments which will be communicated to you.
- Progress reports will go home on January 22nd.
- The weather is getting cooler. The students will go outside for fresh air even in the winter. Please dress them warmly so that they are comfortable outside.
- Lunch with a loved one is back. This is an opportunity to parents, guardians, or family members to have lunch with their child in the cafeteria. You may bring a special lunch to share. Family members other than the parent/guardians will need permission from the parent/guardian. Space is limited to one family per grade level. No younger siblings please.
- This year's theme for field day will be safari.
Friendly Reminders
- Please save the date. Our 2024 field day will be held on Tuesday, June 4th. The weather makeup day will be Thursday, June 6th. As always, field day is open for two family members to attend with their child.
- A friendly reminder that electronics (cell phones, smart watches, etc.) are not allowed at the elementary level. We appreciate your understanding and support, as these become very distracting on the bus and at school.
- The breakfast and lunch menus can be found at this link. If you would like to add money to your child's account please click this link.
- Please only ever use the parking lot access road when driving into SHE. The bus throughway, the road closest to the building, is only for buses and emergency vehicles.
- Please follow Plainfield Public School's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/plainfieldschools
- A reminder that breakfast is free for everyone this year. Those not qualifying for free/reduced lunch will cost families $2.90 this school year. Free and reduced lunch forms will go home the first day of school.
