KRS Student Council - Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Kings Road School Student Council will be leading its first initiative this year, a Thanksgiving food drive to benefit the patients of the Overlook Medical Center Health Start Clinic. We are fortunate that one of our second-grade parents, Erin Donadio, is a volunteer at this clinic and will be helping facilitate this food drive. If you would like more information on the project, feel free to email her directly: Erin.Donadio@gmail.com
In order to streamline the collection we are asking each grade to donate a specific item.
Kindergarten: Box(es) of Mac and Cheese
1st Grade: Boxes of Stuffing
2nd Grade: Packets (envelopes) of gravy mix.
3rd Grade: Packets (envelopes) of instant oatmeal.
4th Grade: Boxes of instant mashed potatoes.
5th Grade: Canned Vegetables
Items can be brought to your child’s homeroom teacher. Please deliver all items no later than Monday, November 14th. The grade that collects the highest number of items will receive a special prize!

Veterans Day Activities - A Message from Mr. Levine
With Veterans Day occurring on November 11 (no school) we have decided to honor our veterans with a variety of projects to recognize the great men and women who have served the country.
Students in grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 attended an assembly, on Wednesday, November 9th where Dr. Vic Schumacher, Madison resident and veteran talked about his experience serving our country.Students in grades kindergarten read a story about the meaning of Veterans Day.
The entire KRS Community is welcome to participate in :” Faces of KRS Veterans” Project. We welcome all staff members, parents, and students to submit a picture with a brief description of a friend and/or family member who is a veteran. There is no set format. Please feel free to work on this with your child. Submit to the main office, Mr. Levine, or your child’s homeroom teacher by Friday, November 18th. You will receive additional information about this project next week.
