Year 3 Newsletter
Friday 26th June
Hard work and fun this week!
Thank you so much to all the parents, friends, relatives who took the time to come to see our fabulous (and gruesome) assembly last week. We were absolutely thrilled with the children's performance. We all had SO much fun and hope you did too! On Thursday we got to perform it again for the Year 6s - they loved it!
We have worked really hard this week completing our end of Year 3 assessments. Well done everyone!
We took part in a Science Competition that is being held to create new 'Space Food' for astronauts . We have entered the competition and will wait to find out if any of our ideas win - if we win our food will actually be made and will be eaten in SPACE!
Snack Box homeworks are now finished for Year 3.Thank you very much for your assistance and feedback regarding this change of homework style - it has been a great success!
Children will continue to receive a Mental Maths homework page this week and next. Can you please help your child remember to complete this work and return it to school by the following Thursday (to allow us to review homeworks when setting the following one).
Reading and zap spelling words will also continue for the next two weeks.
Sports Day is next Wednesday (weather permitting). Please ensure your child brings their snack and lunch in separate containers and WATER.
On Thursday 10th July Year 3 will be visiting Archeon for their Roman trip. Can you please log onto Gateway to complete the permission form for your child to attend this very exciting trip!
